PRT closed and vehicle storage available during Thanksgiving break

The WVU Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system will be closed for passenger service beginning Sunday, Nov. 20, through Sunday, Nov. 27, during the University’s Thanksgiving break.

For information on alternative transportation during the break, visit the Mountain Line website for updates. As always, Mountain Line buses are free to ride with a valid WVU ID.

In addition, students who are leaving campus for the break and need a place to store their vehicle while they are away can purchase a temporary parking permit for just $10.

These temporary permits are effective Friday, Nov. 18, through Sunday, Nov. 27. Permits are valid in parking lot ST-2 (second floor of the Mountainlair parking garage) on the Downtown area of campus or Area 50 (near Towers) on the Evansdale area of campus.

To purchase a temporary permit, please visit the Parking Management office at Mountaineer Station (1112 Van Voorhis Drive).

If you have questions about temporary permits or other parking questions, contact the Parking Management office at 304-293-5502 (Monday through Friday, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.).
