As part of the West Virginia Department of Highways Beechurst Avenue widening project, one lane of Campus Drive will be closed from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 8, as crews install new water service lines.
One lane of the roadway will be maintained by flaggers to allow for two-way traffic during this time. However, drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes when possible.
Between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., this work will also cause a water service disruption for customers along Beechurst Avenue between Campus Drive and Third Street. Customers in the affected area should watch for boil water advisories when water service is restored.
